One of our customers was using a large, odd-shaped carton which only fit 12 items on a pallet.
So we showed them the idea of switching to a cushioned bag. The bag allows the parts to nest together. A pallet load now fits 36 items.
This packaging change reduced warehouse space 2/3rds and tripled the number of items in a truckload.
A company was having very high damage shipping these replacement doors. Packaging methods provided by other suppliers were not working and we were given an opportunity.
We approached it in a different manner and latched onto the outside edge of the door and held it in the center of the carton.
This packaging material and method eliminated the high damage and simplified the packaging process.
So far our customer has used this material & system to package and ship over 1,000,000 doors.
